I studied painting at Mills College with Beat Artist, Jay Defeo, and recieved my MFA in filmmaking from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. While in the Twin Cities I made half a dozen short films that screened in festivals around the world and locally at the Walker Art Center, and recieved grants in support of my work: MN State Arts Board Grant, Jerome Fellowship and Jerome Travel Study Grant. Now I live in Los Angeles and work as an editor in TV and Film.
While editing on Bar Rescue, I started taking photographs of sidewalks.
While living in the Lowertown Lofts in St. Paul, MN, I began documenting the landscape on dogwalks with Hero. A ritual I continued after moving to LA.
